Finally, finally, the Georgia Roots website is up. Information will be added to it as time permits. Cemetery photos and newspaper clipping info is posted there, along with the Georgia Roots Blog -- Be sure to bookmark it and come back often! The main Georgia Roots website can be found at www.boogerbottom.com -- come on over!

We need photos! If you have photos of ANYONE in the family tree, please become a member and contribute your information.

As with any family tree, it obviously extends far beyond a single surname. Likewise, the site is unlikely ever to include all of the families in the tree. The roots of this tree are based in families from Old Montgomery and Washington County Georgia.

It is, and will probably continue to be, a work in progress. There is material here that may incomplete, questionable or erroneous. Please verify all of your information.

This site is now maintained collaboratively online by members of the tree.

Please contact us if you're a family member and would like to be a user, so that you can see more information about individuals in the database or can add information that you have. Also, for people who are related, there is a mailing list for notices of updates to the database and other relevant messages.

Have fun browsing the Family Tree section. There is plenty to see and do here. A good place to start would be with the "Pedigree Chart" which is accessible through the "Charts" drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
